International Deadline: April 1, 2018 – Inverness
County Centre for the Arts’ announces a call for artists worldwide to
enter our “Small Treasures” Juried Small Works Show. Subject matter is
not limited to a theme.

Work may be in any medium, traditional or non-traditional, two- or
three-dimensional, with maximum dimensions of 12” (30.5 cm) in any
direction. Video or animation entries are allowed if all required
elements can be contained in the maximum size.
Small Treasures will be displayed in the main gallery of the Art
Centre in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, July 2018. The exhibition will
coincide with the Hands Dancing members’ show displayed in the outer
Ray Cronin, Canadian writer and curator was Director and CEO of the Art
Gallery of Nova Scotia from 2008 to 2015. He is the founding curator of
the Sobey Art Award and the author of recent books on Alex Colville,
Maud Lewis, and Mary Pratt.
Two artists, chosen by juror Ray Cronin, will be offered simultaneous solo shows at the Art Centre in the 2019 season.

The sale prices will be listed in Canadian dollars for the amount you
have entered in the form. The Art Centre’s commission is 30%.
- Entries are due by April 1st, 2018.
- Notices of acceptance will be emailed by May 25th.
- Shipped artwork must arrive at the Centre by June 15th.
- Hand-delivered artwork will be accepted between June 12th and 18th.
- Artwork not sold will be shipped back between August 1st and 15th.
Inverness County Centre for the Arts Located in Cape Breton, Nova
Scotia, the Centre has large, professional exhibition spaces as well as
performance and studio facilities. Inverness County is a lively arts
community and a popular tourist destination in the summer.
