Anthology 2017

International Deadline: June 22, 2017 – Charlie Smith London announces a worldwide call for artists for its upcoming, ‘Anthology 2017’, exhibition. Artists of stages in their careers and working in any medium are invited to apply. Ten finalists will be exhibited at Charlie Smith London.

Exhibition will open 03 August 2017. Charlie Smith London is recognised as a contemporary art gallery that discovers and develops vital artists, and actively seeks to evolve a global synergy for like-minded and progressive artists, collectors, galleries and curators.

Selected and curated by internationally respected art world professionals:

Kate Bryan (Art Historian, Curator, Broadcaster)
Matthew Collings (Artist, Writer)
Faye Dowling (Curator, Editor, Producer)
Zavier Ellis (Gallery Director, Curator, Collector)
Bert Moore (Collector)

Ten finalists will be exhibited at Charlie Smith London
One winner will receive: £2,500 cash prize

All works presented must be for sale. The sale price must be calculated according to the following formula: 50% gallery / 50% artist.

KEY DATES (2017):
Application Deadline: Midnight 22 June
Finalists Announcement: 18 July
Delivery of Artwork: 1 August 12-2pm
Private View: 3 August 6.30-8.30pm
Winners Announcement: 3 August 7.30pm
Exhibition Start Date: 4 August
Exhibition End Date: 19 August
Collection of Unsold Artwork: 4 September 12-2pm

Charlie Smith London was established opposite Hoxton Square in Old Street in October 2009 with the objective of running an exceptional exhibition programme of dedicated one person exhibitions and dynamic curated group shows. The gallery’s approach is collaborative and curatorial, and emphasizes work that engages critically with profound human and historical themes.
