First Street Gallery' 2018 National Juried Exhibition

U.S. National Deadline: April 3, 2018 – Chelsea, New York’s First Street Gallery’ announces a call for artists for its 2018 National Juried Exhibition. Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 yrs. old.

Eligible works include original oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media, and sculpture in any medium. No video, film, installation , giclées or similar reproductions.

Ronnie Landfield is an American abstract painter, born in 1947 in the Bronx, NY. It is during his early career from the mid -1960s through the 1970s , that his paintings were first associated with Lyrical Abstraction, (related to Post Minimalism, Color Field Painting, and Abstract Expressionism). Represented in those years by the David Whitney Gallery and the André Emmerich Gallery in NYC , he is currently represented by Findlay Galleries, NYC and Palm Beach, FL. The fee is $35 for 1-3 works. $5 for each additional work, up to 6 works total.

The gallery will take NO commission on any work sold. Work not for sale must be marked “N.F.S.” No “P.O.R.” sale.

  • June 19 Hand delivery of work, 12-8 PM
  • June 20-21 Installation
  • June 22 Exhibition opens
  • June 22 Reception 6-8 PM
  • July 14 Exhibition closes
  • July 14 Pickup of hand-delivered work: 6-8 PM
  • July 16 Pickup of hand-delivered work: 11:30 AM- 2:30 PM
  • July 25 Return of shipped work by this date – via UPS or Fed

First Street Gallery’ is a nonprofit contemporary art gallery located in the heart of Chelsea, steps from the High Line. We offer two exhibition spaces on the second floor of a prominent Gallery building.

Through innovative programming that brings art and the community together, First Street Gallery’ continues to nurture, educate, inspire and challenge artists everywhere. As an artist run gallery, we encourage members to pursue and determine the course of their own artistic careers.
