Artists Association 68th Annual National Exhibition of Traditional
Realism, May 9 – 25, 2018, Arts Center East, Vernon CT. Open to all
living U.S. artists. One work only. All original classic media in
representational manner in the categories of Oils, Watercolors,
Graphics, Pastels and Sculpture. No Photographs, Giclees or Digital
Realism as defined by the Academic Artist would be representational
art work encompassing a wide range of art from soft impressionism,
through detailed photo realism in watercolor, pastel, oil, and acrylic
mediums. Sculpture is also exhibited in stone, bronze and many modern
and unique mediums.
Over $7500 in prizes across multiple media categories. You will be able to submit your entry by email.

A 20% commission will be retained on all sales. If work is listed N.F.S., the value must be given.
Founded by Springfield artist Harriet R. Lumis in 1949 in response to
the developing trend in the art world away from representational work,
Academic Artists Association has remained true to Lumis’ founding
principals. Each year, the Association has sponsored a show representing
the finest of realism in art.
