NYC4PA: Water

International Deadline: January 26, 2020  The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, color etc.).

THEME
Water, all around us, is an essential part of our lives. How do you capture water in a photograph? Is it glistening droplets from a polar bear shaking itself off, a surfer caught in the curl, or a boat gently gliding down a river. Teardrops, raindrops, dew drops . ice floes, waterfalls, rapids and serene lakes . The list goes on. Black and white, color, abstract all mediums are welcome.

ELIGIBILITY
This Call for Entries is open worldwide to both amateur and professional photographers. NYC4PA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only 2-D work is eligible.

JUROR
Mark Sink, a private art consultant that represents and curates local and international cutting-edge fine art photography. Mark is a co-founder of The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and founder of the Month of Photography Denver, The Big Picture (street art projects) and the Denver Collage Club. His personal fine art photography is shown and collected world wide. He recently opened a new fine art photography venue, The Derby Project Space.

EXHIBITION AND AWARDS
Winners will receive a total of $3,000 in cash awards, be featured in the NYC4PA Online Gallery and Award Winners Catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page. Cash prize winning and Juror Selection images will be featured in a New York Gallery Exhibition at Jadite Galleries in April 2020.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $35 for the first three images. Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images submitted.

The mission of the New York Center for Photographic Art is to provide exhibition opportunities in the vibrant New York City gallery world to photographers around the globe, and to take photographers around the globe for exciting photo opportunities.

NYC4PA offers international, themed, open call competitions juried by recognized experts in the field of photography. Prizes include cash awards, online gallery, catalog and New York City gallery exhibit.
