Mixed Media National Juried Exhibition
By The Arts Center Gallery at Nazareth College

U.S. National Deadline: November 10, 2019 – The Arts Center Gallery at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York is calling all U.S. artists to apply for our new national exhibition, Mixed Media.

The exhibition will feature works across various media to showcase what this new generation of mixed media artists are doing with their work in order to create a space for advancing the public’s awareness and appreciation of this interdisciplinary field. Mixed media artists are routinely pushing the boundaries of materials and concept by exploring new technologies, techniques, aesthetics, and crossing disciplinary borders. So rather than limiting artists to a narrow theme, we seek work which is not afraid to push these boundaries by being inventive in process, technique, material, and concept.

Work from any media will be accepted including all contemporary craft. We are pleased to announce that the exhibition will be juried by Ted Lott and we look forward to representing this excellent and eclectic field.

On display January 24 – March 1, 2020.

  1. The Arts Center Gallery seeks 2D and 3D work from all professional and emerging artists 18 years or older working in any form of mixed media, including all contemporary craft.
  2. All work must be innovative and original in design. Work derived from another’s intellectual property, completed from commercial kits, or giclées will not be accepted.
  3. Only work completed after January 1, 2016 will be considered. Work previously shown in the Arts Center Gallery CANNOT be re-submitted.
  4. Collaborative work is accepted. Please indicate all the artists in the work description list.
  5. Installation work is accepted; however, if the install will be complex, excessively large, or take multiple people to assemble, first contact before submitting your application. If accepted, detailed step-by-step instructions MUST be provided. It is highly recommended that the artist or team of artists assemble the installation themselves. The Gallery does not offer custom built sets, carpentry for special armatures and pedestals, or major alterations to the Gallery walls.
  6. Submitted work must be available for the entire duration of the exhibition AND the jurying process. Work may not be picked up before the conclusion of the show or be shown in overlapping exhibitions. Artists please note: when applying make sure the same works are not entered simultaneously into other exhibitions.
  7. All accepted work MUST have proper identification and meet the Gallery standard for delivery. Refer to Shipping Instructions below.
