14th Annual Master Pieces
By Manifest Creative Research Gallery – Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

International Deadline: May 3, 2020 – The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites current graduate students and MFA/MA degree recipients since January 2019 to submit works in any media (including non-traditional approaches), any style, and any genre (fine art, illustration, design, conceptual, realism, etc.).

Every year Manifest offers an opportunity just for graduate students to exhibit at our gallery in Cincinnati. This 14th installment of the Master Pieces project will continue to reveal the intensity and professionalism of students working towards their terminal academic degree in the field of art or design. Often the most exceptional work comes out of these artists’ immersion in their culture of study and intellectual pursuit. Manifest’s goal, therefore, is to select works that set the standard of quality that the artist is expected to maintain throughout his or her professional career and justify the degree of Master.

Exhibit Dates: July 10 – August 7, 2020.

ELIGIBILITY
Master Pieces is open to current MFA/MA students or MFA/MA graduates since January 2019. If in doubt of eligibility contact Manifest to inquire. All entries must represent original works of art or design.

MEDIA
Open to any and all traditional and non-traditional visual arts media, genre, subject matter, and content. There is no thematic guideline. Media may include but is not limited to: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, installation, etc.

Manifest’s carefully assembled juries change from project to project, and as a body have no collective predisposition towards any particular kind or style of art.

CASH AWARD
The annual Manifest Grand Jury Prize will result in the awarding of one significant cash prize ($2500) to a single work selected as the ‘best of the entire season’.

JURY & CURATOR
This exhibit will be juried by an anonymous several member volunteer panel of professional artists and academic advisors with a broad range of expertise relative to art and design. The jury will then pass along their recommendations to the exhibit curator who will design the exhibit from the jury-approved pool.

PUBLICATION
Manifest Press will produce a high quality hard-cover publication documenting each entire season of exhibits, artists, and works shown. This continues Manifest’s commitment to long-term documentation and dissemination of our projects, and the expansion of physical exhibits into a broader geography and time frame, while also bringing all exhibits together under one cover each year to create a better product which will be more valuable to the public, teachers, libraries, and exhibiting artists.
