Transformations: Figures of the Other Self

U.S. National Deadline: June 18, 2019 – Mills Pond Gallery invites artists to submit works for a juried exhibition August 17 – September 14, 2019. Juried by Carol Fabricatore.

This exhibit explores the artist’s take on what persona or alter ego is present in their artwork. Transform into something you would like to present as a public image of yourself. It could be a self-portrait that transforms you into who, what, or how you would like the public to see you, or whatever your alter ego may be.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists ages 21 and over (or student artists currently enrolled in an M.F.A. program) in the United States Entries may not have been shown previously at Mills Pond Gallery.

All work must be original and must have been completed in the last four years. Artwork may include; drawing and/or painting in any 2D mediums, traditional or digital work No photography. No reproductions or giclees will be considered. All works must be professionally presented and display-ready. Works must not exceed 60” in width, including mat and frame.

JUROR
Carol Fabricatore’s work has appeared in: American Illustration, Communication Arts Illustration Annual, Society of Illustrators, and Society of Newspaper Design. $700 Best in Show, $500 Second Place, $300 Third Place.

Guest jurors contribute to the critical dimension of the selected works in the gallery, providing a venue for artists working in a wide variety of media and subject.
