U.S. National Deadline: October 1; November 5, 2018 Since 1893, National Sculpture Society (NSS) promotes excellence in sculpture that is inspired by the natural world. In so doing, we offer a number of grants that are awarded annually to artists working in sculpture.

Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant Deadline: October 1, 2018
The Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant is a prize of $5,000 sponsored by the National Sculpture Society.

It is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability as a sculptor and who has created a body of work inspired by nature which includes works of sculpture in bas-relief and in the round. The Bleifeld Grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.

Alex J. Ettl Grant Deadline: October 1, 2018
The Alex J. Ettl Grant is a prize of $7,695 sponsored by the National Sculpture Society. The Grant includes an unrestricted $5,000 cash award, a half-page ad in Fine Art Connoisseur magazine (value: $2,150) and a quarter page ad in Sculpture Review magazine (value: $545).

It is awarded annually to a figurative or realist sculptor who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability in his or her body of work. The Ettl Grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.

Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant Deadline: October 1, 2018
The Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant is a $7,695 prize for a sculptor, specializing in animal sculpture, who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability in his or her body of work.

The Grant consists of an unrestricted $5,000 cash award, a half-page ad in Fine Art Connoisseur magazine (value: $2,150) and a quarter page ad in Sculpture Review magazine (value: $545).

Dexter Jones Award Deadline Deadline: November 5, 2018
The Dexter Jones Award, an unrestricted prize of $5,000, is presented annually to a sculptor for an outstanding work of sculpture in bas-relief.

Applicants must be sculptors born between 1979-2000. All applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number. The grant is awarded without regard to sex, ethnicity or religion.

The use of figurative or realist sculpture is of greatest interest. The winning work will be in bas-relief.

Henry Hering Art & Architecture Award Deadline: November 5, 2018
The Henry Hering Art and Architecture Award is presented as the occasion warrants for outstanding collaboration between architect, owner and sculptor in the distinguished use of sculpture in an architectural project. The use of figurative or realist sculpture is of greatest interest.
