Monmouth Museum Exhibition: Petopia
By Monmouth Museum

International Deadline: October 15, 2019 – Monmouth Museum announces an international call for artists to submit works on the theme, “Petopia”.

Pets are a part of the family and should be cherished, especially at Holiday time! The bond between a pet and owner/parent is something unique. Pet portraits attempt to capture that cherished bond. In this year’s Monmouth Museum Holiday Exhibition, “Petopia,” the Main Gallery will be filled pet paw-traits of man’s best fur-ends as well as endearing depictions of creatures big and small covered in fur, feathers and scales to celebrate the loving bond we have with our pets as well as the universal affection for the natural beauty and majestic power of all animals.

On display November 24, 2019 – January 5, 2020.

Open to all artists worldwide age 18 and over. Artwork will be considered in all media and styles from the traditional pet portrait to depictions of animals in their habitats to anthropomorphism and beyond.

All artwork entered must be the artist’s original creations completed within the last five years, and must not have been presented in past Monmouth Museum exhibitions.

$20 per entry/artwork.

Read more details and apply online. Artworks will be considered through online submission of digital images only.

The Monmouth Museum encourages the sale of exhibited artwork. The Monmouth Museum will collect the purchase price for all work, take a 30% sales commission and issue a check for the remainder to the artist at the close of the exhibition.
