This is America, Part Two
By RED West Contemporary Art

U.S. National Deadline: September 6, 2018 – The music video by Childish Gambino, titled “This is America” motivated us to explore a theme concept wherein our gallery artists agreed to watch the video, and thusly imprinted, do a 12×12 inch (3D at a comparable size) art piece, in their genre, with the fresh memory of that video at the forefront of their consciousness. That very interesting exhibit opens at our pop-up gallery (Google us) on August 15th.

The work has opened a platform for discussion and interaction that is lively and explodes a pandora’s box of fodder for debate. We have decided to expand the audience, and so, place this call for entry. We will produce a full color catalogue of this exhibit – production beginning at receipt of all entries, to be available ASAP.

Part Two of our “This is America” exhibit will open September 12, run through the month at Red West, then move to our sister gallery, W Gallery on (Facebook) 9th Street in Steamboat Springs, where it will exhibit throughout October and November 2018.

Please note we are aware of the short deadline and are willing to receive work up to September 6.

Brief Overview: The Red West pop up gallery is spacious and elegant, showing a dozen carefully selected museum artists. Our exhibits are well attended. This is America II exhibit, for us, is a wild departure and a social experiment. We formerly owned Red Contemporary at the Steamboat Sheraton Resort Hotel.

Please note we are unable and unwilling to show pornography and if sent, it will be returned, not included in the exhibit or catalog.
